# What is CR8

CR8 is crate-opening where the crate holds a **real position on a real venue** — not a picture of one. Open a crate and the draw picks a market, a side and leverage. Then you choose: take the position, or take coins ($CRATE) at a floor quote.

### The three things to know

* **Positions are real.** A paid crate opens an actual position you watch move live, with a floor under it — the worst case is printed on the crate before you open it.
* **Draws are provably fair.** Committed before launch, recomputable in your browser at campaign end.
* **$CRATE is fed by product flow.** A fixed slice of every crate routes to the token side — plumbing, not promises.
